Adrian Area 2 ~ Edgerton/SWC 13
On Tuesday the girls traveled to Edgerton to take on the Dutchmen. Devin Dreesen and Paige Bullerman started off the 1st inning with hits to have runners on 1st and 3rd, but they were unable to score. Edg./SWC came up in the bottom of the 1st inning and scored 5 runs on 7 hits and 2 errors. They scored two more runs in the bottom of the 2nd on 1 hit and 2 errors. Mady Neuenberg had the catch of the year in center field, catching a deep fly ball on the run before falling over the Home Run Fence to end the inning. In the bottom of the 3rd inning Edg./SWC scored 6 runs on 3 hits and 2 errors. The girls scored 2 runs in the top of the 4th when Autumn Grussing hit a single, Kristina Cauwels and Hailee Nolte got on base by errors before Mady Neuenberg hit a 2 run single.
Offensively Devin D. was 2-3, Mady N. 1-3, 2 RBI’s, Paige Bullerman 1-2, Autumn Grussing 1-3, 1-R, Kristina Cauwels 1-R.
Devin Dreesen pitched giving up 14 hits and striking out 1. Paige Bullerman caught.
