Roxanne Kremer, a Wilmont resident, will be recognized as the Minnesota K-5 Teacher of the Year 2016 during the annual Veterans of Foreign Wars Convention Banquet to be held in Rochester on June 11th. In learning about her selection, she said, “I am so surprised and honored to receive the Minnesota Veterans of Foreign Wars K-5 Teacher of the Year Award for 2016.” Roxanne teaches at Prairie Elementary school in Worthington.
Kremer was nominated for the award by VFW Post Commander Merle Rabenberg, as she is a teacher who promotes civic responsibility, flag etiquette and patriotism.
