Maddie Stegenga, Luverne, MN and Joe Brake, Wilmont, MN were married Saturday, August 11, 2018, at the First Presbyterian Church in Luverne. Maddie is the daughter of Craig and Anne Stegenga of Luverne, and Joe is the son of Jerry and Julie Brake of Wilmont. The Reverend Dr. Jason Cunningham officiated the ceremony. Special music was provided by Barb Antoine.
The bride’s maid of honor was Sarah Stegenga. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Riggs, Morgan Dodd, Erika Brake, Emmie Jackson, Kyla Stulen, and Danielle Kniep. Her personal attendants were Blair Altman and Lexi Rust. Elise Crawford was the flower girl.
The groom’s best men were Jesse Brake, Jared Brake, and Jordan Brake. Groomsmen were Jordan Stegenga, Will Stegenga, Dalton Jeffers, and Jake Diekmann. Kaleb Brake was the ring bearer. David Brake, Jaydan Bullerman, Tony Reker, and Connor VanDyke were ushers.
A reception followed the ceremony at the Brandon Holiday Inn Event Center.
Maddie is the 2015 graduate of Luverne High School and a 2018 graduate of The University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota. She is currently employed at the Fulda School District. Joe graduated from Adrian High School in 2013. His is the owner/operator at Brake Trucking. The couple is living in Wilmont, Minnesota.
