Rogers & Loosbrock Make Team
The Adrian Dragons, who placed 3rd last week in the Class A State Tourney, had two players selected to the All Tourney Team. This team is selected by the sports writers attending the State Tourney and the MSHSL.
Logan Rogers was selected as he pitched a shut out vs. Ely and then turned around in less than 24 hours and pitched 6 complete vs. Springfield in a 5 to 4 loss. Rogers also picked up the save in the 3rd place game vs. Hinkley-Finlayson. Rogers led Adrian with 3 hits in the State Tourney and reached base 5 times in his 11 plate appearances.
Also selected to the Class A All Tourney Team was Zach Loosbrock. Zach had the game winning RBI vs. Ely in game one of the State Tourney. Then in the State Semi’s, Zach gave Adrian a 2 to 0 lead in inning number one vs. Springfield with a 2 RBI double. Zach had 11 plate appearances in the State Tourney and reached base 4 times.
Both Logan Rogers and Zach Loosbrock will be honored at the State Championship game Monday at Target Field. First the 3rd place Adrian Dragons team will be honored on Target Field before the State Championship game. The MSHSL honors the 3rd place and 5th place team before all Championship games. Following that recognition, Loosbrock and Rogers will go to Section 17 behind the 3rd base dugout to receive their plaque and patch for their All Tourney honors.
