A Mass of Christian Burial for Stan Lindemann, age 85, of Rushmore, MN was held on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at St. Adrian Catholic Church in Adrian, MN, with Monsignor Richard Colletti presiding. Stan passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019. He was born on March 31, 1934 on the family farm near Rushmore, the son of Herman and Jessie (Onken) Lindemann. He grew up on the farm and attended country grade school. He graduated from Worthington High School and began farming full time.
Stan married Beverly Hamman on June 1, 1957 in Arkansas. Stan then served in the US Army from 1957 to 1959. Stan has lived near Rushmore nearly all of his life. He enjoyed his work as a farmer and truck driver. He served on the Ransom Township Board and was a member of the Lions Club and Knight of Columbus at St. Adrian Catholic Church. Stan enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, hunting and restoring old tractors. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Stan is survived by his wife, Beverly; five children, Steve (Julie) Lindemann of Sioux Falls, SD; Rick (Laurie) Lindemann of Brandon, SD; Mark Lindemann of Alexandria, MN; Renee Vis of Rushmore, MN; and Jim (Patty) Lindemann of Alexandria, MN; 10 grandchildren, Josh, Krista, Cory, Stacy, Matt, Travis, Mike, Kylie, Casey and Morgan; several great grandchildren; and two siblings, Clint Lindemann and Norma Ducommon.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Elmer and Viola Hamman; a sister, Loraine Mueller, and son-in-law, Jim Vis.
