Two Adrian speech students finished in an unbreakable tie for first place in the Luverne Cardinal Invitational Saturday, March 4. Sabdi Bravo and Zack Loosbrock each earned first place points for the team in the Informative Speaking category. Maritza Beltran earned second place in Serious Poetry. The Duo Interpretation team of Arianna VanMeveren and Trinity Grimord were fourth. Paige Bullerman was fifth in Original Oratory. Sara Knips earned and honorable mention ribbon in Serous Prose. The team finished sixth out of the 15 teams competing. Luverne was first with 60 points, Worthington was second with 47, TMB was third with 30, Minneota was fourth with 28, Windom was fifth with 27 and Adrian was sixth with 22 points.
The team’s next meet is Saturday, March 11 in Montevideo.
