Resolution Adopting an Interim Ordinance Prohibiting the Construction of New Structures, the Introduction of New Businesses or Industries
THE CITY OF ELLSWORTH
ORDAINS as follows:
I. The City of Ellsworth has passed a Resolution authorizing a study to be completed as relates to the implementation of official controls as defined in Minnesota Statutes Section 462.352, subd. 15.
2. That the City desires that during the period of the study that there be no new development within the City consisting of construction other than single family dwellings and other
uses as specifically provided for herein.
3. Moratorium: Until the study authorized by the City has been completed, and the City has enacted or elected not to enact a Zoning or Land Use Ordinance, there is hereby imposed a moratorium on the construction or expansion of new or existing structures within the City limits. This moratorium shall not apply to the construction or expansion of any single family residences. Further this moratorium shall not apply to the construction of any municipal building, including but not necessarily limited to a City Hall, Community Hall, City Offices or similar public structure.
4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication according to the law.
