Power is restored to all NCE customers

We have some great news to share! The last residential member was energized at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 16th. All essential services have been restored!

We would like to thank our members and community for their patience and understanding. By working together with crews from other cooperatives and contractors, we were able to restore electricity to our members quickly and safely.

At the peak of the storm, Nobles Cooperative Electric had 4,500 members without power, or 67 percent of the membership.

Even though power is restored, there is still a lot of work to be done between clean-up, re-inspection of the lines and fixing leaning and damaged poles. The damage Nobles Cooperative Electric’s service territory withstood will take years to bring it to the level it was prior to last week’s ice storm.

Members may experience short power outages going forth as crews reestablish the proper connection from being backfed. These will be momentary outages not lasting very long.

The cooperative reminds the public to always stay away from downed power lines as a safety precaution. Even though the majority of members have power, there still remains a lot of debris in area ditches and township roads.
