Panthers do well at State Track ~ Sean Boltjes finishes 8th in the 300m hurdles

Panther state qualifiers Sean Boltjes, Noah Kruse, Cole Boltjes and Kade Boltjes travelled to Hamline University in Minneapolis on June 8, for the 2018 State Track and Field Championships.

Up first in the preliminary rounds was Kade Boltjes in the 200m race.  Kade ran a time of 24.10 for 16th place knocking him out of the final race.  The Junior sent notice as one to watch for next years season.  Up next was Sean Boltjes in the 300m hurdles.

Sean ran a personal best time of 40.69 in the preliminaries to earn 8th place and a spot in the final race.  Sean’s time dropped off a bit at 40.95 for 8th place in the finals.  Sean’s preliminary time would have been a top five time in the final race.  The 4×100 team of Sean Boltjes, Noah Kruse, Cole Boltjes and Kade Boltjes took on a strong field in the 4×100 relay.  Their time of 45.46 was good enough for 14th place in the preliminary but did not move them on the final race.

Congratulations on a great year!  We look forward to seeing more success on the track in the future, as all the Panther State Qualifiers return in 2019.
