There are some pretty great movies out there, especially the newer breed of films dedicated to the United States Military. It’s all fine and dandy when an actor plays a part so well that even those closest to the main character are deeply impressed by the performance. But then there is real life. At the end of the movie “Lone Survivor” there are pictures of all of the warriors killed in operation Red Wings that day. The first picture of each is in uniform, in their element as fighting men, and the second is if they had a significant other. That would be the picture of the person left behind, being a spouse, fiancé, or significant other. Some were pictured with the children that would grow up without that parent. Then there are a few pictures of the flag draped caskets, loaded into an aircraft and fellow service members paying respects by those caskets.
