Notice of Application For Livestock Feedlot  Permit

Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116.07, subd. 7(a), that Metz Professional Waste Applicators, will be applying to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and Nobles County for a permit to expand a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.

The proposal expanded feedlot will be located in the SE 1/4 of Section 18 of Summit Lake Township, T103N, R41W, of  Nobles County, Minnesota. The existing facility consists of one 2400 head total confinement barn housing wean to finish swine.  The existing barn has an under-floor reinforced concrete pit to hold manure generated by the swine with a capacity of 720 animal units.  The proposed facility consists of one 2400 head total confinement barn housing wean to finish swine.  The proposed barn will have an under-floor reinforced concrete pit to hold manure generated by the swine with a capacity of 720 animal units.   The total animal unit capacity of the proposed expanded feedlot will be 1,440 animal units.   The feedlot will be owned by Metz Professional Waste Applicators.

This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
