Wow! Those Dragons are hot and bright this year! What better way to show off Adrian pride than with Dragon sunglasses. The Adrian National Honor Society is selling Dragon sunglasses with all proceeds going to the Nobles County Library remodeling project. The cost for the UV 400 protection glasses is $5. The left side of the glasses has “Dragons” printed on it.
Many students and community members spend time in the Nobles County Library throughout the year. The donation people make with these sunglasses will help keep the library an inviting place to visit along Maine Street for years to come.
This is also an important project for the Adrian students who belong to the NHS, a national organization that requires community projects as part of the students’ service commitment. Students are selected for the organization based on scholarship, service, character and leadership. Current members are Taylor Heidebrink, Jackie Hokeness, Logan Lenz, Mitchell Lonneman, Nate Lonneman, Hannah Bullerman, Paige Bullerman, Rylie Hokeness, Alexia Kemper, Taylor Loosbrock and Paige Tweet.
Many of the students have been involved over the summer helping the library move books for the book sale, selling books at the sale and helping promote library activities.
Sunglasses are available at the high school office and will be sold Thursday at the Elementary School.
