Lyle was born May 9, 1931 in Forest City, Iowa, to Clyde and Anne (King) Lacore, and grew up in the farming community of Lismore, Minnesota. He graduated from St Anthony Catholic School, Lismore, MN in 1950. Lyle proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War on the destroyer USS Laffey, DD 724, where he made many lifelong friends. Lyle moved his family from St. Paul, Minnesota to Cynthiana, Kentucky in 1974 to take on the role of Plant Engineer at the 3M company, where he worked until his retirement in 1992, after 31 years of total service to the organization. In true Lyle/Pete fashion, he also made lifelong friends with many of his colleagues there.

He is also survived by his brothers Dean and William, and his beloved sister Patricia Jansen. He also leaves behind a great number of nieces and nephews who he loved mightily and who he shared many laughs and great times with over the years. Family gatherings were his very favorite times.
