Lauren Madison, a Junior Girl Scout from Adrian, needed a project to earn her Junior Bronze Award (Community Project). She had been through Magnolia and noticed a window box with books in it and was curious as to what it was. Lauren has a love for reading and when she saw the books, she knew she had to check it out. What Lauren found, is what is known globally as the “Little Free Library.”
A Little Free Library is a “take a book, return a book” free book exchange. They come in many shapes and sizes, but the most common version is a small wooden box of books. Anyone may take a book or bring a book to share.
