Enjoying a Friday afternoon at the MN Veterans Home were Joyce Erdman of Lismore and Coletta Oertli of Adrian. Jan Nelson of Winnebago, and her husband Dennis, a resident at the home, celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. They provided ice cream sundaes. Nadine Scorby of Canby and her late husband Dan (a former resident at the home) would have celebrated their wedding anniversary as well. They provided bingo prizes. The four gals became close friends while their husbands were/still are residents at the home.
It was a hot Sunday afternoon but it didn’t stop the Krogman families from gathering at the Lismore City Park for what is hoped to be an annual event. The descendants of Frank & Liz Krogman included: Sandy & Harry Spidel, Gloria Wieneke, Curt & Darla Wieneke and their extend family, Henrietta (Heine) Lais and Craig Lais and a large turnout from the family of the late Joyce & Bernard Myer. Present from the family of Tony & Lucy Krogman were Ann Krogman and Alana & Tom Kirt and from the Amos and Ivy Krogman branch was Tom and Mary Krogman. Representing the Carl & Evelyn Krogman family was Wayne Krogman, Daryl Krogman, and Dana & Dale Zimmerman. A great way to keep the families close and share those fun stories!
Wedding congratulations to Mitchell Lynn and Abby Erlandson on their marriage June 4th at St. Adrian Church. Mitchell is the son of Brad and Brenda of Lismore and Abby is the daughter of Lane and Carmen of Adrian.
Becky Gibson (formerly of Lismore) is recuperating at her home in Adrian following major surgery.
Meg and Morgan Sauer of rural Lismore (daughters of Barry & Kerry) returned from Italy after a religious history trip with Bethany Lutheran College. They traveled to Rome, Florence, Pompeii, Venice, and Pisa as they studied “The Way of the Martyrs”. What a great experience for them.
The Lismore Booster Club will meet on Tuesday, June 21st at 7 PM in the Fire Hall. Old Home Day activities will be discussed.
Dave Lutmer and Cody Lutmer joined Rick & Linda Bartl of Aberdeen, SD; Rick Lutmer and Adam Lutmer and their friends, Omaha, NE; Matthew and Lucas Bartl, both of Sioux Falls, SD and Lori Delano & her friend, Doug Woolridge of Annandale for a long weekend of fishing near Mobridge, SD.
Harry & Sandy Spidel of Mission, TX are spending a few days in the home of her daughter, Gloria Wieneke. They came especially to attend the Krogman family gathering.
