Celebrating Christmas together at the home of Jerry Sieve near St. Kilian were: Dan and Gail Sieve and daughters from Lisle, IL; Sue and Jeff Boots and family of Winona; Cindy and Phil Klomp and family from Maplewood; Curt and Janelle Sieve and Dallas and Tony of Adrian; and Bob & Cate Koehne and family.

Shirley & Ray Wieneke celebrated Christmas surrounded by their family which included:  Rhonda & Troy Dammer and Lakin, Brynn & Hadley of Ramsey; Renee & Travis Oertli and Reid & Alex of Golden Valley and Ryan Wieneke of Mankato.

The Slayton Area Chamber of Commerce honored “VanBullys” of Iona as their December Business of the Month.  Carrie (Kern) Van Dyke and her business partner/nephew Ryan Bullerman (former faces in the Lismore Bar & Grill) were pictured receiving the trophy.  Congratulations, Carrie & Ryan, on your thriving establishment! Best wishes for continued success.

Ct. St. Bernard #886, Catholic Daughters of the Americas will hold their annual baby shower at their monthly meeting on Wednesday, January 11th at 7:00 p.m.  All baby items (unwrapped) and cash donations will be given to the Helping Hands Pregnancy Center in Worthington.  A display will be set up in the back of St. Anthony’s church for donations to be dropped off until February 8th.  Everyone is invited to participate.

There will be no American Legion Auxiliary meeting during the month of January

Dave & Deb Lutmer visited with Rick & Adam Lutmer of Omaha, NE at the home of Germaine Roemeling in Adrian on New Year’s Day.

Ray & Shirley Wieneke visited with Sister Brenda Penning at Good Counsel in Mankato. She served St. Anthony’s Parish in the 1990’s.  Sr. Brenda is still not feeling up to par and requests prayers.  May good health and happiness be yours in 2017, Sr. Brenda!

 The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Lismore on Tuesday, January 24, 2017.  The blood supply is vulnerable particularly during the winter months due to inclement weather and seasonal illnesses.  When you donate blood, you help save lives.

Nick McCann & Kelly Nelson were married on  Saturday, December 31st at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. Nick’s parents are Bruce & Kate McCann, formerly of rural LIsmore and now living in Adrian. Kelly is the daughter of Dave & Lori Nelson of Sioux Falls. The newlyweds are making their home in St. Paul. Congratulations, Nick & Kelly !
