Recent guests in the Ruth Lorang home were: Tom, Molly, Kate, and Keegan Lorang of Morton; Kevin, Yigliola, and John Lorang of Minneapolis; Todd, Susan, Noah, Isaac, and Grace Roerig of Sioux City, IA; and Ivan, Jean, Owen, Lucy, Phoebe, Hazel and Milo Vargas of Dell Rapids, SD. They enjoyed spending time with their mom/grandmother but also helped celebrate the wedding of Laura (Lorang) and Andrew Fodness on August 26th.

With school starting on Tuesday, we need to be reminded about safe driving.   Watch for children as they are walking as well as getting on and off the buses.  Remember that you need to stop when the bus has the stop sign out and the red lights flashing!  Let’s keep the kids safe!

Sunday, September 10th is the day you have been waiting for!  The St. Anthony Church will have their bazaar and auction.  On the menu this year is turkey & dressing including candied carrots.  Games for the young and old include Pot O’Gold, Fish Pond, and Cake Walk. Many unique items will be raffled including theme baskets, John Deere paraphernalia, meat bundles, various services and blankets & quilts. A beanbag tournament will take place following the auction with concessions available throughout the day.  Come spend the afternoon on the church grounds.

Ray & Shirley Wieneke spent a few days last week in the home of Travis and Renee Oertli.  They were on grandparent detail with Alex & Reid.  On Saturday evening, the whole family was together to see the new Oertli home.  Those gathering were: Troy & Rhonda Dammer and family of Ramsey and Ryan Wieneke of St. Peter.  Ray & Shirley visited with Sr. Brenda Penning in Mankato enroute back to Lismore.
