What a great story in the Worthington Globe featuring St. Kilian’s Julie Brake! Julie spoke at an April 6th flag raising ceremony at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD to kick off “Donate Life Month”. Several months ago, Julie gave “new life” back to her father, Bernard Thier, in the form of a kidney. Bernard had been going to kidney dialysis since late 2015. In November of 2016, Julie donated one of her kidneys to her Dad. The operation went well and Bernard is now restored to good health. Julie is feeling fine and so happy that her dad is able to enjoy a better quality of life! What a testimony of love between a father and a daughter….truly beautiful.
