Gloria (Wieneke) Carlberg is happy to announce the marriage of her son, Brian Wieneke to Erin Yanus. The couple exchanged vows in a ceremony witnessed by a small gathering of family, including Bill & Gloria Carlberg, in Leavenworth, WA on November 26th.  Erin works as a social services/child protection specialist for the state of Washington. Brian is a district manager for Dish Network in Seattle.  Both are graduates from the University of Northern Colorado.  Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Brian Wieneke!

Bruce & Brenda Loosbrock had a full house on Thanksgiving Day.  Guests included Mary Ann Loosbrock, Kay & Randy Wolf and their kids, Caroline & Miles and family, Nadine & Josh and boys, Carrie & Josh and daughter;  Earl & Nancy Wolf and their kids,  Felicia and Luke and Sam & Bethie and their daughter; and Bruce & Brenda’s kids, Stephen & Bethany Loosbrock and Dominic, Mary Jean & Anthony DiGiovanni and Giana and Shelley Loosbrock.  It was a wonderful day. They had a lot of fun playing games and nobody went hungry!!

Santa will be making an appearance in Lismore on Saturday, December 9th at 1:30 p.m. at the Lismore Fire Hall.  Everyone is welcome to attend, take a picture with Santa, and enjoy a cookie, juice and hot chocolate.

Let the Catholic Daughters help you with your holiday baking.  On Saturday, December 9th, they will hold a bake sale before and after the 5:00 p.m. Mass at St. Anthony.  The Council of Catholic Women will host a spaghetti supper following Mass that evening.

The State Bank of Lismore will host a Christmas Appreciation on Friday, December 8th from 10:00-2:00 with refreshments, goodies and door prizes.

A nice crowd attended the combined Thanksgiving Eve Ecumenical Worship Service held at the 1st Presbyterian Church along with members from the St. Anthony Catholic Church.   Pastoral Associate Roxanne Kemper and Pastor Thomas Voigt delivered messages of Joy and Gratitude.  The 1st Presbyterian Adult Choir and the St. Anthony cantors provided a musical selection.  The Youth Bell Choir did an impressive song on the bells.  A free will offering was taken for the Manna Food Pantry. Bars and coffee and fellowship followed.

The American Legion Auxiliary will celebrate the Christmas season on December 20th at 6:30 p.m. by preparing shut in baskets prior to their monthly meeting.  Serving lunch will be Debby Wieneke, Jamie LeBrun, Ruth Lorang and Roberta Wieneke. In lieu of a gift exchange, members opted to bring a gift of hats and/or mittens to be donated to the Adrian Elementary School.

The Lismore Booster Club will meet on Wednesday December 6th at 7 pm at the Lismore Senior Center. Preparations for Santa Day will follow the meeting. All members are encouraged to attend.
