Tom, Jeff, Dan, Brandon, Jake and Adam Diekmann and Luke Rahe, Jim Weidert and Stuart Rogers enjoyed their annual fishing trip to Leech Lake, January 3rd-7th. They also visited with Mike Diekmann and his boys and John Diekmann (Mike’s brother). They reported a successful weekend of fishing.
Jackie Wieneke’s children recently surprised her with a Sunday trip to see her brother, Jim Pensyl, in Eden Prairie. Jim is recovering at home from a recent heart attack. Jim’s other visitors included Troy, Connie and Tori Wieneke of Slayton; Angie Beek of Inwood, IA and Erica Gould of Apple Valley. It was a beautiful day to travel and Jackie was so happy to see her brother. Jackie is very thankful to Angie and Troy for this thoughtful gesture. Get well wishes to Jim!
Deb Lutmer and Cindy Bullerman drove to Rosholt, SD on Wednesday afternoon to attend the funeral visitation of Helen Spindler at the St. John’s Catholic Church. Helen’s daughter, Rosanne, and Deb were high school classmates. They also made a brief stop at the Browns Valley Health Care Center to visit their family friend, Joyce Randall.
A daughter, Reagan Renee, was born to Jill and Nick DeVries on December 22, 2018. She is welcomed home by siblings Quinn, Emmitt and Lauren. Grandparents are Jim and Connie Henning of rural Lismore and Gus and JoAnn Andrade, Plymouth, MN.
January is National Blood Donor Month. The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Lismore on Monday, January 28th from 2:00-7:00 p.m. The blood supply is vulnerable particularly during the winter months due to inclement weather and seasonal illnesses. When you donate blood, you help save lives.
Last week Dave Lutmer enjoyed a few days of decent ice fishing “up north”. His overnight accommodations were provided by Bruce and Ruth Lutmer in Brooklyn Park.
Debby and Frank Wieneke were overnight guests in the Darin Wieneke and Maria Vu home in St. Paul on January 19th. They went especially to celebrate their granddaughter Adrian’s birthday. Happy Birthday, Adrian!
