Ct. St. Bernard #886, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, is sponsoring a baby shower!

They have a display set up in the back of the St. Kilian church for donations that will be given to the Helping Hands Pregnancy Center in Worthington. When shopping for your own children or grandchildren, purchase a little something extra for this worthwhile cause!  Donations will be collected until February 8th.  Everyone is invited to participate with unwrapped gifts (clothes, diapers, baby items) or a cash donation.  God bless you for your generosity!

There will be no American Legion Auxiliary meeting dur

ing the month of January.

January is National Blood Donor Month.  The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Wilmont on Tuesday, January 21st  from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Please call Sandy Penning at 507-926-5427 or 507-360-1496 to make an appointment. The blood supply is vulnerable particularly during the winter months due to inclement weather and seasonal illnesses.  When you donate blood, you help save lives.

Dave and Deb Lutmer and Cody Lutmer were guests in the home of her sister, Carol Giroux and Darrel Johnson on Saturday to celebrate a late Christmas with the “Dew” side of the family.

An open house come-n-go baby shower will be held for Travis and Christina Grindeland on January 18th at the Lismore Legion Hall from 10 am to 12 noon.  Instead of a card, please bring a book for baby girl Grindeland so a library can be started.

With the help of over 60 family and f file:///.file/id=6768755.11328374 riends, the Mike and Melissa Einck family made 108 tie blankets to comfort little patients at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, where their daughter, Molly, spent many days during her illness.  In less than two hours, the mission was accomplished—blankets made with Molly in mind, each one crafted with love. This act of service was very important to Molly’s family; keeping her memory alive and sharing her stories are so healing. The Eincks plan to deliver the blankets and pop tabs in February—Molly’s birthday month. On another note, Molly has a commemorative ceiling tile in the pediatric cardiology hallway at the Sanford castle, designed by family friend, McKenzie Wieneke (daughter of Andy and  Michele of Lismore). Painted in shades of red and purple, a butterfly celebrates new life with a heart that was healed by Jesus. God bless the memory of Molly Jo Einck, our brave little heart warrior.
