A Mass of Christian burial for June Irene Erlandson, age 92, of Worthington, MN, formerly of Adrian, MN, was held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at St. Adrian Catholic Church, in Adrian, MN officiated by Monsignor Richard Colletti. Burial was in St. Adrian Cemetery. June died Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at the Meadows Assisted Living in Worthington, MN. She was born July 31, 1925, in Rock County, MN to Charles and Adalida (DeSchepper) Walgrave. June graduated from Luverne High School in 1943. After she graduated, she worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for Northern States Poultry, then later as a Judy Lee Jewelry consultant.
June married Eugene Erlandson on September 16, 1950, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Luverne, MN. The couple lived in Worthington, MN for a few years before moving to the family farm north of Rushmore, MN. They retired and moved back to Worthington in 2009. She was a member of St. Adrian Catholic Church; a fifty year member of the Catholic Daughters; a thirty five year member of the Grey Ladies (Happy Helpers), the American Red Cross and was a 4-H Leader. June enjoyed square dancing, baking and sewing. She volunteered at Adrian Schools. She and Eugene loved to travel south during the cold months. They spent over thirty years in Florida during the winter.
June is survived by her five children, Gary (Kathy) Erlandson, Greenfield, IA; Diane (Angel) Otero, Worthington, MN; Dale Erlandson, Sargent Bluff, IA; Robert (Shirley) Erlandson, Worthington, MN; and Donald (Robin) Erlandson, Adrian, MN; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two brothers, Ardean (Audrey) Walgrave, Luverne, MN; and Don Walgrave, Sioux Falls, SD; two sisters, Dolores Strassburg, Luverne, MN; and Joyce (Roger) Walser, Downers Grove, IL; four sisters-in-law, Eileen Kahovec, St. Louis, MO; Katheryn (Al) Ell, Mesa, AZ; Joanne Smith, Sioux Falls, SD; and Pat Erlandson, St. Paul, MN; and many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene on April 14, 2017; five brothers, Harold, Robert, Eli, Paul and Arnold Walgrave; and two sisters, Alice Kammerud & Ruth Cook.
Dingmann Funeral Home in Adrian was in charge of arrangements.
