The feel of Fall is on us. The crops have matured and silage is being cut and put up. The corn has that dry look with a strong hint of green in the majority of the fields. The beans look golden and are laced with green. There are bean fields that look ready to harvest and there are some that are still green. We are looking at a couple days of rain this week that will continue the wet summer into fall. The official start of fall starts on the 22nd this week.

The race for the presidency is showing the strain on the candidates. Hilary has gained a few years and Donald is still bouncing off walls. They are still very close in the polls, but there is a large body of uncommitted voters that are waiting for something that will sway them to the lesser of two evils. It seems like it’s not a choice of which political party, but a pick of the person you can tolerate. All of this and only a few short weeks left before we go into that little canvas booth.

Q: Why do blonde girls walk in groups of odd numbers?

A: Because they can’t even!

A guy was driving in a car with a blonde. He told her to stick her head out the window and see if the blinker worked. She stuck her head out and said, “Yes, No, Yes, No, Yes…”

A blonde and a redhead have a ranch. They have just lost their bull. The women need to buy another, but only have $500. The redhead tells the blonde, “I will go to the market and see if I can find one for under that amount. If I can, I will send you a telegram.” She goes to the market and finds one for $499. Having only one dollar left, she goes to the telegraph office and finds out that it costs one dollar per word. She is stumped on how to tell the blonde to bring the truck and trailer. Finally, she tells the telegraph operator to send the word “comfortable.” Skeptical, the operator asks, “How will she know to come with the trailer from just that word?” The redhead replies, “She’s a blonde so she reads slow: ‘Come for ta bull.’”
