The firecrackers are all exploded, hopefully, and the celebration has ended well. My holiday weekend went well with two days of wedding activities and then two days of doing those things that were neglected, like shuffling wood around, weeding the garden, mowing and slow-eating breakfasts on the patio. I really like those breakfasts. We are serenaded by two sets of wrens who have the biggest voices for such a small bird. There are several robins that join in occasionally but the wrens are continuous with there song while flitting among the branches. It’s a time to slowly drink your coffee without interference from the rest of the world.
