Warm weather has its dark side and we have the opportunity for seeing how dark this week. Monday’s mist/rain has put everyone into the Minnesota shuffle mode. The rest of the week brings warmer weather which may help, maybe not. Either way we will have near tropical Minnesota weather on us thru Sunday.

Friday’s inauguration of Donald Trump as president will set our world spinning off in a new direction. How far and how fast is anyone’s guess. The pundits have predicted every possible direction that can be taken and Friday’s speech could give us a general direction.  Until Friday we will have to listen to all the reports on polls that compare today’s reaction to past polls taken at this point in previous elections. It’s not impressive. I think he is trying to be as tough looking as he can so the world takes notice. I believe they already have an opinion of him. We will try to make the best of it.

A blonde is overweight, so her doctor puts her on a diet.

“I want you to eat regularly for two days, then skip a day, and repeat the procedure for two weeks. The next time I see you, you’ll have lost at least five pounds.”

When the blonde returns, she’s lost nearly 20 pounds.

“Why, that’s amazing!” the doctor says. “Did you follow my instructions?”

The blonde nods. “I’ll tell you, though, I thought I was going to drop dead that third day.” “From hunger, you mean?” said the doctor.

“No, from skipping,” replied the blonde.

You know how it is when you’re reading a book and falling asleep, you’re reading, reading . . . And all of a sudden you notice your eyes are closed? I’m like that all the time.
