There is a need for a decent rain and this could be in the forecast. It wasn’t Monday night that it would happen. There was a great promise and looking at the radar before going to bed it looked like there was every chance that Fulda would get very wet. At some point during the night, the phone rang loud and before we could react our cell phones were both ringing. Then the iPad’s started to kick in before we could answer anything. It was Code Red with the warning of an immediate weather threat. The message was it was going to storm. Large hail was mentioned, along with wind, rain and lightning were also part of the warning. A glance out the window showed lightning in the south and southwest. In a very short time the wind came up. I started to wonder what I forgot outside. Too late to change now. We waited and the wind blew and we waited some more. There was no more. No rain and thankfully no hail and we fell asleep knowing it was going to rain. When morning came it was dry were we live. The wind had blown a few potted flowers around and there was several branches down. There were areas around who got rain but not us here. Tonight we have another chance and Code Red may call again.

Little Ole is a bit of a philosopher. The other day, he asked Little Lars, “Vhere do you suppose our parents learn all da rotten stuff dey tell us kids not to do?”

My wife just opened my car door for me. Would have been a nice gesture had we not been going 70 mph.
