Most things are planted. There are a few beans yet to go in the ground, but there are still wet spots to conquer. Even the gardens have plants which were a challenge this year. The weekend was great with Sunday and Monday being cooler with temperatures in the sixties. Tuesday’s rain was helpful in general.

Fulda’s Wood Duck Festival brings several new events this year along with the familiar good times to be had at the celebration. The tight rope walk from the top of water tower to the old mill was postponed because very few signed up.  A zip line from the water tower to city hall is being considered for next year. Car races down main street, up to the high school and back was seen as an everyday event. The best of coffee shop ideas will have several categories including hair brained, outrageous and everybody’s favorite – gossip. I think I’m going to enter the old standby event where you sit off to the side and play old folks. Come join us and bring a Wood Duck.

A woman walks in a store to return a pair of eyeglasses that she had purchased for her husband a week before.

“What seems to be the problem, madam?”

“I’m returning these glasses I bought for my husband. He’s still not seeing things my way.”
