As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child just as it takes the Sunrise View Assisted Living community to receive help from students through the School Based Grant – SWMHC School Based Mental Health Services. The program has been in the Adrian Public School for eight years and services are going strong. SWMHC School Based Mental Health Services addresses the conditions of emotional disturbance that impair and interfere with an individual’s ability to function independently. The program has been a collaboration between Southwestern Mental Health Center, the Adrian Public School District and Grant Funding from the Minnesota Department of Human Services. The partnership and Grant Funding has provided for counseling services not only during the school year, but throughout the summer.
