After being disappointed by not being able to run in Worthington due to heavy rains, the Dragon CC team took the long trek to Madison, MN. Lac Qui Parle, host of the last two section meets, took a backseat to sections in Luverne this year. They still hosted their invitational and Adrian was one of eleven teams.
Cloud cover kept the unusually warm September 20th cooler than expected. The winding level course awaited the slighted downsized team. Moriah Bullerman and Khailee Nelson were out with injury and/or illness. Illness and injury also dropped Jasmine Kohorst and Karis Barr to junior high. Halle Heitkamp also missed this race due to a school function.
Up for the junior high girls were Hiltyn Heitkamp, Jasmine Kohorst, Karis Barr, Ashlee Christians and Abbey Leopold. Top runner for the girls was Hiltyn, breaking 13 minutes, 12:59. A great time for this 2800 meter/1.7 mile race. She finished a strong 9th place. Jasmine also scored well with a 13:18 14th place.
