MANKATO, Minn. –Motorists are advised that Interstate 90 from Lakefield to Sherburn will be reduced to one lane each direction with reduced speeds beginning Monday, Aug. 14 as crews apply a surface treatment to preserve the pavement.
The project, which consists of applying oil and small rocks on I-90 from Highway 86 to Highway 4, will seal the surface to prevent early deterioration and add life to the pavement. The work is expected to take about two weeks; one week for each direction (eastbound and westbound).
This segment of I-90 was paved in 2015 as part of a larger design-build project.
