Good things happen to those who hustle Dragons come out on top over Patriots

In a back and forth intense game with rivals HBC Patriots the Adrian Girls Basketball team came out on top with a 57-51 win.

The girls knew going into the game it would be a tough battle, but whoever hustled more in the end would win and Adrian did just that. Coming off of a tough loss from the prior weekend to RTR the girls knew they had to take care of the basketball and hustle more than the other team. Senior Hannah Bullerman knew she had a tough job ahead of her and that hustling was her only option. She was put on one of Hill’s best players, Sidney Fick, who is averaging 20 points every game. Hannah answered by playing outstanding defense and was able to hold Sidney to just 2 points in the first half. Hannah had 19 points with 5 rebounds and 2 steals along with her excellent defense for the team. Senior Alexia Kemper also put in some key minutes for the team. Kemper is a threat from the 3 point line and makes the other team guard her. She put up 5 points and had 3 timely steals for the team. The team improved tremendously on the turnovers from the game prior with only accumulating 8.

It was a full team effort from start to finish with hustle being the key effort in the win. It was a big win for the team and the girls are looking forward to their next game vs. HLO in Okabena on Friday, December 8th with a 6:00 B squad start.
