Five Pines Senior Solutions has been working with State of Minnesota to take over management of Sunrise View Assisted Living.  Five Pines Senior Solutions provides full operation management services of assisted living facilities. The team members have experience in varied disciplines and many are active in trade associations to stay current on upcoming changes in the industry.  They work with the administrative team to guide them on everything from daily operations to strategic planning to focus on being a successful business.

Tim Matros is the Owner, President/CEO of Five Pines Senior Solutions.  Tim began working in the long term care industry in 2008 starting out in accounting and finance before transitioning into operational oversight. In 2015 he embarked on ownership with the first of four assisted living care centers in north central Minnesota. Tim and his wife Amy Jo started Five Pines Senior Solutions in 2016. His past experience is with both skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, with his current focus being on assisted living.  He works closely with the housing managers and nursing team of our management and consultant clients.

According to Amy Jo, Five Pines Senior Solutions has already been on site here in Adrian to meet with the staff and the residents of Sunrise View.  “Of course we will bring our own policies and procedures, but we want to make this transition as painless as possible for the residents and the staff.  We’ve been working with the State on arranging to take over the home care.  Our target date is December 1”  she stated.

Five Pines Senior Solutions currently manages four assisted living communities in north central Minnesota; Serenity Living Solutions of Black Duck, MN, Remer, MN, Sebeka, MN, and Park Rapids, MN.

(The situation at Sunrise View Assisted Living has no connection with, or affect on the Adrian Country Living Cottages.  The two facilities are completely separate entities.)

Little Falls-based operator forfeits licenses

A large Minnesota operator of senior homes has forfeited licenses to provide care at three of its facilities, after state health inspectors found repeated incidents of serious harm to older residents.

In an unusual action, Minnesota Heritage House of Little Falls has agreed to surrender licenses to provide home care services at its three assisted-living facilities in Pequot Lakes, Kimball and Adrian, Minn. To minimize disruption, residents will be allowed to continue living at these facilities, but care will be provided by a different operator and the facilities will receive closer state supervision.
