My news went to Review by snail email last week, they received it on Wednesday and I sent it on Sunday. Better late than never I guess. Harvest is moving along with some reports of being finished, others near completion. Hopefully it will all go well as there is forecast of possible snow in the next couple of weeks.
Devin Vis, Rock Rapids IA, Karson and Kayne Jurrens, Luverne MN were last Saturday visitors with Jan Stoll.
Jay and Mimi Drenth, Rock Rapids, IA were Saturday callers with Ruth Birkett. On Sunday Shane Johanning, Slayton, MN and three friends visited with Ruth Birkett.
Linda Reese and Dorothy Hector, Adrian, MN were callers with Marian Hector last Wednesday afternoon.
Sunday afternoon visitors with Sweer, Florence and Sharon Arends were Erwin and Lori Arends, Little Rock IA; Glen and Barb Arends, Lester IA and Daryl Kruger, Ellsworth.
Delivering “Meals on Wheels” for the month of October was Zion Presbyterian Church. The members doing the meals this month were Becca Dressen and Skip Birkett.
Veteran’s Day program will be held on Monday November 11th at 10:00 a.m. at the school. Curt Hendel, Adrian Post #32 will be the guest speaker. This is open to the public !!!
The Ellsworth Legion meeting will be on November 14th in the City Hall at 7:00. The Auxiliary will meet at the Oakwood apartments on the same day, same time.
