The American Legion met for a celebration supper on Wednesday April 17, 2019 to celebrate the Legion’s 100th Birthday. In attendance were 14 members of the Legion, Auxiliary and guests.
Skip Birkett and others attended Church Services at Parkview Manor on Easter Sunday. Rev. Paul Snyder officiated with the help of Lance Becker. He also spent time visiting the residents.
Marlin and Joanne Marcus, Luverne visited with Jim Mulder on Wednesday morning and Carol Mulder visited in the afternoon.
Sunday afternoon, Keith and Marvella Klaasen, Michelle Wilson and son Caleb Wilson of Sibley, IA; Glen and Barb Arends, of Lester, IA, Jessie and Heather Postma and children, of Valley Springs, SD; Doug Arends of Sioux Falls, SD, Erwin and Lori Arends, of Little Rock, IA ,Marlin Arends and Dawn, Bloomington, MN and Sharon Arends enjoyed Easter Sunday dinner with Sweer and Florence Arends.
Denny and Elaine Klingenberg, of Sioux Falls, SD visited with Jan Stoll on Monday afternoon.
The Birkett family enjoyed Easter Supper in Slayton. In attendance was Ruth Birkett, Skip Birkett, of Ellsworth, MN, Jay and Mimi Drenth of Rock Rapids, IA and Tanner and Angie Lamb of Cedar Rapids, IA.
Will Heltzer, Liam Heltzer, Kristin, Karson and Kayne Jurrens of Luverne, MN; Joel and Katie Vis with children Kenley Korthals, Devin and Logan Vis; Collin and Rochelle Johnson of Rock Rapids, IA and Jan Stoll were with Wayne and Diane Schweitzer for an Easter Supper.
