Election 2016 is fast approaching, and citizens are encouraged to remember that every vote counts. Please be sure to take advantage of your duty and opportunity to vote. Election day is Tuesday, November 8.
The Presidential election has received much publicity, and your vote will impact the future of our country for the next four years. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are the two major party candidates.
On the ballot this year in Minnesota is a constitutional amendment. Failure to vote, either yes or no, will have the same effect as voting no on the amendment, so be sure to vote on it. The amendment reads as follows:
Remove Lawmakers’ Power to Set Their Own Pay
Shall the Minnesota Constitution be amended to remove a state lawmakers’ power to set their own salaries, and instead establish an independent, citizens-only council to prescribe salaries of lawmakers?
Vote yes or no.
