Murray County Central @ Adrian-Ellsworth 1-27-2020
On Monday January 27th, 2020 the Murray County Central Rebels traveled to Adrian to take on The Adrian-Ellsworth Dragons Boys’ Basketball team in a Red Rock Conference match-up. The Dragons raced out to a quick 12 to 0 lead on the Rebels and by halftime the Dragons led 43 to 20.
Lance Luettel led the Dragons with 16 points and 9 rebounds, Ian Stamer had 15 points and 5 rebounds, Noah Reyne had 14 points and 6 rebounds, Peyton Lewis added 11 points. The Dragons forced 18 turnovers and were 19 of 44 for 43% from the field. The Dragons won 61 to 51 to improve to 5-5 in the Red Rock Conference and 10-7 overall.

For the second time in the same week, the Adrian-Ellsworth Dragons played the Murray County Central Rebels in Red Rock Conference Boys’ Basketball game. This time the game was played in Slayton. The first half was a back and forth battle and the Rebels led 23 to 21 at halftime. The second half belonged to the Dragons! The Dragons started the half on a 10-2 run and never looked back. The Dragons were able to pull away for a 57 to 43 victory.
The Dragons were led by Noah Reyne’s 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals. Peyton Lewis has 12 points, Ian Stamer had 11 points and 6 assists and Lance Leuttel chipped in with 10 points. The Dragons did a great job defensively the entire game and were 22 of 48 from the field for 48%.
The victory improved the Dragons to 6-5 in the Red Rock Conference and 11-7 overall. Next action for the Dragon boys will be in Adrian February 6th as they host the Heron Lake-Fulda Coyotes. on February 10th they will make the trip to Minneota to take on the Vikings
