The Adrian Dragons traveled to Jackson last Saturday to take part in the Pizza Ranch Invitational. Five Dragons were able to earn medals in the event.
106 – Logan Taylor placed 4th in his weight class, going 1-2 on the day. Taylor was able to earn a 4-2 decision over Payton Handevidt of JCC in the quarters to advance to the semis. A 5-2 loss in the semis put Logan in the 3rd place match, where he lost to Hunter Baker of Luverne.
120 – Preston Nelson competed in the 120 pound weight class and went 1-2 on the day. Preston lost his first match by a 7-2 margin. He earned one victory in the wrestlebacks by forfeit, before losing a 5-3 decision one match before the medal round.
126 – Logan Sherer competed in the 126 pound weight class going 0-2 on the day.
132 – Chandler Combs wrestled at 132 pounds for the Dragons, going 1-2 on the day. Combs used a pair of 5-point moves to earn an 11-8 decision in his first match. He went on to lose his next two matches, eliminating him from the tourney.
