ADRIAN 61, HL-O 48
The Adrian Boys’ Basketball team traveled to Okabena on Friday, December 15, in a Red Rock Conference match-up against the Heron Lake-Okabena Wildcats. The Dragons won 61 to 48. The Dragons went 22 of 46 for 48% from the field and 8 of 18 on three-point shots for 44%. The Dragons converted on 9 of 12 free throw attempts for 75%. Ryan Wieneke led a balanced scoring attack for Adrian with 19 points, 16 rebounds, and five blocked shots. Brady Henning had 14 points and made two three pointers. Lance Leuttel had 11 points and Mitchell Veld added 8 points. The Dragons improved to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
Adrian will host the Boys’ Holiday Tournament on Thursday, December 21st. The Wabasso Rabbits will play the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Red Rock Central Falcons against the Adrian Dragons at 7:30 p.m.!
