On Monday, January 29, 2018, the Adrian Boys’ Basketball team traveled to Fulda to take on the Raiders in a Red Rock Conference match-up. The Dragons prevailed 79 to 76.
Brady Henning made two free throws to put the Dragons ahead by three points with under four seconds remaining in the game. Fulda’s Leighton Gehl missed a 35 foot shot as time expired. The Dragons were 23 of 45 for 51% for shots taken inside the three-point arc. They also made 8 of 19 three-point attempts. The Dragons won the rebounding battle 34 to 25.
Ryan Wieneke had 24 points and 8 assists to lead the Dragons. Skylar Polzine put up 18 points and had 9 rebounds. Christian Weidert had 15 points, Brady Henning 11 points and 5 rebounds, Lance Leuttel 8 points and 9 rebounds.
The Dragons improved to 9-8 overall and 6-3 in Red Rock Conference play.
