The Adrian Dragons picked up a win over Madelia-Truman, before getting pounded by the Pipestone Arrows 68-10.
Brandon Combs got things going in the first dual, as he fought his way to a 6-4 decision over Carlos Garcia. The Dragons would never look back, as Tylor Hix followed with his first varsity career win, pinning Gach Mar in 3:14. Preston Nelson wasted little time with Aiden Rathman, pinning the Jayhawk in 1:21. Brent Hokeness and Logan Sherer received forfeits at 126 and 132, pushing the Dragon lead to 27-0. Chandler Combs caught and pinned William Castro in 1:45 to put the Dragons up by a 33-0 margin. Jamie Castaneda earned his first varsity win, with a 52 second fall over Jed Altenburg at 145. Marshall Taylor followed with a fall over Grant Koehler in 2:27. Beau Bullerman took a forfeit at 170, before the Jayhawks got on the board with a 3-1 decision in the 182-pound bout. Mitchell Wagner put the last points on the board for the Dragons by accepting a forfeit at 195. A Jayhawk fall at HWT, made the final score 57-9 in favor of the Dragons.
Preston Nelson and Dylan Gyberg were able to get victories against Pipestone.
They will travel to Jackson next Friday to participate in the Section 3A Individual tournament.
