Dragons 10-run RTR Knights

The Dragons scored 14 runs en route to a 14-4 win by 10-run-rule over RTR last Saturday in Ruthton.

Adrian got on the scoreboard first with four runs in the first inning.  Jake Stamer started the game with a double that bounced out of a diving center-fielder’s glove.  Stamer advanced to third on a wild-pitch before Zach Hendel walked.  Hendel promptly stole second base which was followed by a  Zack Loosbrock RBI groundout, scoring Stamer.  Nick Harder would single in Hendel and steal second base.  Mitchell Wagner continued the inning by singling, and stealing second.  Skylar Polzine then singled in Harder, which was followed by a Nate Lonneman RBI single that scored Wagner.  Before RTR could come to bat, the Dragons were leading 4-0.

Offensively the Dragons were led by Zack Loosbrock, who was 3-4 with a home run, a double, two runs, and three RBIs. Harder was 2-3 with one RBI, one stolen base, and two runs scored.  Wagner had two hits, two RBIs, and three runs scored.  Alex Loosbrock had a double, RBI, and scored twice.  Polzine had two hits, two RBIs, and scored once.  Lonneman had a hit and scored a run.  Stamer had two hits, one RBI, and scored once.  Hendel reached base twice, stole two bases, and scored two runs.  Jeffrey Cauwels rounded out the offense with a walk.
