The Dragon volleyball team celebrated a successful 2019 season with a banquet on November 18 at the elementary commons.
The Dragons finished the year with a record of 28-3 and earned the Section 3A runner up. Although individual awards were given out the theme of the team this year has been “one team one family” and all their success this season has been credited to this theme.
Individual awards given out are as follows.
*Academic all state 3.8 or above for high school career- Kasie Tweet, Bailey Lonneman, Maritza Beltran
*Varsity received the academic excellence award – Mayssa Tweet, Kendra Frodermann, Kasie Tweet, Brianna Reckamp, Josi Altman, Julia Bullerman, Marisa Lehnhoff, Jennifer preuss, Bailey Lonneman, Maddie Wagner, Maritza Beltran
*All conference- Mayssa Tweet, Bailey Lonneman, Kasie Tweet, Marisa Lehnhoff
Honorable mention-Shawna Rogers
*Kasie Tweet holds the career high set assist and all time set assist for one season with-836 in a season and 1984 in her career. And most service aces for one season with 84.
*Mayssa Tweet broke the record for digs in one season with 549 and is also the new holder of most digs in a career with 913.
