Dragon tracksters compete in Slayton

The Dragon Tracksters travelled to Slayton last Tuesday to compete in the Fulda Invitational.  The Dragons turned in five top finishes and 13 top ten finishes throughout the day.

Zach Bierman and Dakota John gave the Dragons strong finishes in the boys 100m race with second place going to Zach and eighth place going to Dakota.  Zach would do it again in the 200m with a fifth place finish.  Morgan Penning went the distance in the 800m and 1600m races setting season best times for eighth place and third place respectively.

The 4 x 100m relay team of Dakota John, Brendyn White, Kasey Madtson and Zach Bierman ran a time of 49.13a for third place.  The 4 x 200m team of Dakota John, Dominque Canelas, Michael Preuss and Brendyn White crossed the finish line in sixth place.

Not to be outdone, the girls’ 4 x 100m relay team of Kendra Frodermann, Bailey Lonneman, Katie Residorfer and Katia Suarez ran a time of 58.52a for eighth place.  The 4 x 200m relay team of Hannah Henning, Katie Reisdorfer, Katia Suarez and Kendra Frodermann cut almost 3 seconds off their time in Luverne to finish fourth.

Tucker Wieneke hurled the discus 98-06 for tenth place.  Zach Bierman added another top ten finish with a long jump of 17-03.00 for seventh place.  Michael Preuss and Dakota John would earn points for the Dragons with  seventh and ninth place in the long jump.

The Dragons are finding their stride and continue to improve times as they hit the mid-season mark.
