The Adrian wrestlers hosted the Jackson County Central Huskies Friday, January 25, in Section 3A wrestling action. The Huskies were able to win 10 of the 14 varsity matches, en route to a 57-18 victory. Jesus Anaya tried to get the momentum rolling for the Dragons, earning a fall over Logan Butzon in 33 seconds. The Huskies quickly took that momentum back by winning the next seven matches to take a commanding 39-6 lead. Quentin Wolf ended the JCC match winning streak with a 5-4 decision over Carter Mix in the 160 pound bout. Preston Nelson followed suit by earning a late take down at 170 pounds, defeating Will Freking by a 5-4 margin as well. The Huskies won the next three matches, before Scot Edwards closed the dual with a first period fall, just like he has in every dual he as been healthy for this season.
Quentin Wolf was named the varsity OW with his 5-4 decision over his JCC opponent. The Dragons are now 10-14 in dual meet action this season.
