Dragon linksters at Fulda Triangular

Under less than favorable conditions, the Adrian boys and girls golf teams played at the Town and Country Golf Course in Fulda. The Lady Dragons were able to come away with a split on the day, losing to host, Fulda, and defeating SWC-E.  Final team scores for the girls were:  Fulda – 211;  Adrian – 229; and SWC-E – 273.  Medalist for the meet was Adrian’s Alexia Kemper with a round of 47.  Gracia Elias, Annika Elias, and Josi Altman shot 57, 60, and 60 respectively.  The meet was played with temperatures in the low to mid 40s along with a northwest wind, making play quite difficult.

The Adrian boys team struggled with the conditions also.  The boys took a step backward with a team total of 210 and placed third in the triangular meet.  Fulda fired a 174 and SWC-E a 187.  Brady Henning has begun to play a bit more consistently and led the Dragons with a 47.  Mitchell Veld (52), Landon Runia (53), and John Christians (58) contributed to the team total.  Cole Weidert and Easton Braun each shot a round of 63.  Blake Madison and Alex Freimuth competed at the junior varsity level and carded 65 and 62 respectively.

The Dragons will host HLO and SWC-E on Thursday, April 27.
