The Adrian Dragon girls and boys golf teams were honored at their 2018 banquet on Tuesday, June 5th. The letter winners and team award winners were announced at that time. Although the weather made the 2018 season a very challenging and shortened one, both Dragon teams performed well and are to be commended on their dedication and effort.
Twenty-six golfers participated in the golf program this season, including a group of seniors that have been in the program for many years and will be greatly missed in 2019. Members of the 2018 Adrian golf teams were: 6th Grade – Aidan Peterson and Ana Wolf; 7th Grade – Taya Elias, Mia Hieronimus, Lauren Madison, Tannisha Runia, Madeline Wagner, Brock Henning, Ethan Langseth, Landyn Loosbrock, and Logan Nogosek; 8th Grade – Josi Altman; 9th Grade – Gracia Elias, Jacob Lenz, and Landon Runia; 10th Grade – Annika Elias, Easton Braun, Alex Freimuth, Caleb Hornstein, and Blake Madison; 11th Grade – Madelyn Odell and John Christians; 12th Grade – Alexia Kemper, Nick Harder, Brady Henning, and Mitchell Veld.
Outside of the seniors in our program this year, both Dragon teams were relatively young and gained another year of valuable experience during the 2018 campaign. Success in 2019 will revolve around the team members spending time on the golf course during the summer months.

Award winners for the Lady Dragons were: Alexia Kemper – Low Score Season, Low Season Average, Low Score Red Rock Conference Tournament, and Low Score Section 3A-Round 1; Most Improved – Gracia Elias and Josi Altman.
Boys award winners include: Brady Henning – Low Score Season and Low Season Average; Mitchell Veld – Low Score Red Rock Conference Tournament; Brock Henning – Low Score Section 3A-Round 1; Most Improved – Brady Henning and Easton Braun.
Adrian seniors Alexia Kemper and Mitchell Veld will be golfing in the Minnesota State High School Golf Tournament on June 12th and 13th at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, MN. GOOD LUCK TO OUR DRAGON GOLFERS AT STATE!!
