West Sub District 4th Place & Section 3A Runner Up.
The Adrian Dragon football team held their year end banquet last Sunday evening at the Adrian Elementary Commons. A catered meal by Countryside Inn was enjoyed by players, statisticians, video, parents, ball boys, managers, and coaches.
After the meal, Coach Nowotny started things off by presenting the 2016 statisticians (Emily Lebrun, Elizabeth Erwin, McKinley Nelson, & Emma Madtson) an award certificate and a year end booklet for their volunteer efforts in 2016.
Varsity managers & video: Isaac Bullerman, Andrew Bolluyt, Carson Wilford, Brock Henning, Quentin Wolf, Joshua Horn, & Jonathan Horn were also presented an award certificate and an award booklet for their volunteer efforts in 2016.
Lastly, during this first presentation session, Event 6 winners (a competition held during training camp 2016) were presented their certificates and medals.
In grades 11 and 12 the overall winner was Ryan Wieneke with 628 points 2nd place to Brendyn White with 546 points, and 3rd place to Nick Harder with 533 points, 4th place to Frank Serrao with 525 points, 5th place to Dylan Gyberg 517 points, and 6th place to Mitchell Lonneman with 509 points. Rounding out the top ten were 7th-Mitchell Wagner 488, 8th-Landon Rogers 456, 9th-Zack Loosbrock 449, and 10th-Alex Loosbrock 427.
The mile run champion was Ryan Wieneke with a time of 5:41. The 400 meter dash champion was Ryan Wieneke & Brendyn White with a time of 60 seconds. The bench press champion was Mitchell Wagner, Dylan Gyberg, & Nick Harder with 30 reps at 115 pounds. The leg press champion was Ryan Wieneke, Brendyn White, Nick Harder, Frank Serrao, Dylan Gyberg, Mitchell Lonneman, Alex Loosbrock, Kasey Madtson, Skylar Polzine, & Chance Turner with 60 reps at 235 pounds. The kick champion was Dylan Gyberg with a kick of 43 yards and the punt champion was Ryan Wieneke with a punt of 51 yards.
In grades 9 and 10 the overall winner was Dakota John with 501 points, 2nd place to Scot Edwards with 486 points, 3rd place to Lance Luettel with 457 points, 4th place to Skylar Dingmann 453 points, 5th place Beau Bullerman with 451 points, and 6th place to Tucker Wieneke 411 points. Rounding out the top ten were 7th-Logan Taylor 368, 8th-Brandon Schnoor 366, 9th-Tylor Hix 361, and 10th-Dominiq Canales 353.
The mile run champion was Dakota John with a time of 6:32. The 400 meter dash champion was Dakota John with a time of 65 seconds. The bench press champion was Scot Edwards with 30 reps at 95 pounds. The leg press champion was Dakota John, Scot Edwards, Lance Luettel, Skylar Dingmann, Beau Bullerman, Tucker Wieneke, & Devin Froderman with 60 reps at 125 pounds. The kick champion was Dominiq Canales with a kick of 42 yards and the punt champion was Scot Edwards a punt of 43 yards.
