The Dragon Boys’ Basketball team traveled to Mountain Lake to take on the Wolverines in a Red Rock Conference contest on Monday, February 18th. The Wolverines prevailed by the score of 72 to 58. The Dragons converted 22 of 65
shot attempts for 34% from the field. Ian Stamer led the Dragons with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Noah Reyne added 10 points, Lance Luettel contributed 8 points and Cole Domeyer and Christian Weidert each added 6 points. The Dragons are 5-8 in conference play and fall to 7-13 overall.
Adrian meets Heron Lake-Okabena, comes out on top
The Dragons Boys’ Basketball team hosted Heron Lake-Okabena in a Red Rock Conference game on Tuesday, February 19th. The Dragons won by the score of 73 to 35. The Dragons made 31 of 68 shots from the field for 46%.
The Dragons made 8 of 12 free throw attempts. The Dragons won the rebounding battle 50 to 31. Ian Stamer led the Dragons with 20 points, Noah Reyne added 17 points, Lance Luettel contributed with 8 points. Christian Weidert and Nathan Rahe chipped in with 6 points each. Weidert led the Dragons with 11 rebounds. The Dragons improved to 6-8 in the Red Rock Conference and 8-13 overall.
Adrian wins final home game of the season
The Adrian Dragons hosted the Fulda Raiders on Friday, February 22nd in the final home game of the regular season for the Dragons. The Dragons prevailed by the score of 67 to 57. The Dragons made 30 of 64 shot attempts for 47%. The Dragons won the rebounding battle 33 to 20. Christian Weidert led the Dragons with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 steals. Noah Reyne had 18 points and 4 steals while Lance Luettel chipped in 7 points The Dragons improved to 7-8 in Red Rock Conference play and 9-13 overall. The Dragons will host the Heron Lake-Okabena Wildcats on Thursday, February 28th at 7:00 p.m. in the first round of the Section 3A Tournament. We hope to see you there!
