Dragon boys basketball holds banquet

The Adrian Dragons Boys Basketball program held their post-season awards banquet Tuesday, March 20th in the elementary school commons.  The meal was a potluck provided by the families. The team members earned and received the following honors:

Varsity Award winners were:  Mr. Hustle- Dakota John, Mr. Fire-Lance Leuttel,  Dragon Award- Brady Henning, Mr. Defense- Dakota John and Christian Weidert,  Most Improved- Brady Henning and Mitchell Veld.

Varsity Percentage leaders were: 2pt. FG% Leader – Skylar Polzine (120/216- 56%), 3pt. FG% Leader – Ryan Wieneke (84/204- 41%), Overall FG% Leader –Skylar Polzine (120/216- 56%), FT% Leader – Ryan Wieneke (79/97- 81%), Most Rebounds – Ryan Wieneke-178, Most Assists – Ryan Wieneke-73, and Most Points Scored –Ryan Wieneke-550.

2017-18 Letter Winners: Ryan Wieneke,  Kalvin Ross, Brady Henning, Mitchell Veld,

Skylar Polzine, Dakota John, Braxton Vortherms, Devin Frodermann, Cole Domeyer, Bryce Wilson, Christian Weidert, Lance Leuttel, Ian Stamer,, Noah Reyne and Madi Miller.

The Dragons had one player earn Red Rock All Conference honors and one honorable mention:   Ryan Wieneke – Red Rock Conference,  Christian Weidert- Honorable Mention.

Dragon JV Awards were:   Mr. Hustle- Tristan Thier, Mr. Fire- Ian Stamer, Dragon Award- Bryce Wilson, Mr. Defense- Noah Reyne and Most Improved- Cole Domeyer.

JV percentage leaders:  2pt. FG% Leader – Brandon Schnoor (80/158- 51%), Nathan Rahe (22/43- 51%), 3pt.
