A Celebration of Life for Donna Langerman, age 87, of Coon Rapids, MN, formerly of Las Vegas, NV, will be held at Crestview Senior Living Apartments located at 12016 Ulysses St. NE, Blaine, MN 11:00 a.m on Thursday, October 24, 2019. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019, 10:30 a.m at Zion Lutheran Church in Adrian, MN. Interment will be at the Adrian Cemetery. Donna died peacefully surrounded by family, on Friday, September 27, 2019, at the J. A. Wedum Hospice Center in Brooklyn Park, MN. She was born February 9, 1932, in Adrian to Clarence and Marguerite (Ostrom) Hokeness. Donna graduated from Adrian High School. After high school, she went to beauty school in Minneapolis. This is where she met her husband, Jerry on a blind date.
Donna married Jerry Langerman on December 27, 1952 at Zion Lutheran Church in Adrian. The couple were stationed in various cities and countries throughout Jerry’s military career. Donna made a home wherever the family was stationed. She was a lady that took on many challenges in being a military housewife. Donna and Jerry retired and moved to Las Vegas in 1995.
Donna is survived by her son, David (Karen) Langerman, Coon Rapids, MN; granddaughter Jennifer (Greg) Bloom, Andover, MN; grandson, Joshua (Jacque) Langerman, St Cloud, MN; six great grandchildren, Dylan, Marissa and Zachary Bloom; Ava and Tucker Langerman; one sister, Jane Wedrickas, Red Wing, MN; and brother-in-law, Bob Hoffman, Sioux Falls, SD along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Marguerite Hokeness; husband, Jerry Langerman; brother, Gary Hokeness and sister, Wanda Hoffman.
